BIOL 2202 - Scientific Inquiry Credits: 3 Lecture Hours: 3 Laboratory Hours: 0 Introduction to the fundamental components and methodology of scientific inquiry and how these may vary across sub-disciplines of biology. Topics will include formulation of questions, hypotheses, and predictions; types of scientific studies (observation vs. experimentation); experimental design; role of statistical testing in analysis and interpretation of scientific data; ethical issues in scientific research; scientific literacy; and communication of scientific information. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 1202 and BIOL 2201 .
