EDCI 3040 - Secondary Methods I Credits: 3 Lecture Hours: 3 Laboratory Hours: 2 Integration of theoretical perspectives, standards-based planning, research-based pedagogical and management practices, assessment roles, and selected materials, methods, and technologies for the purpose of preparing teacher candidates to become proactive educators who possess the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to positively impact student learning in varied and multicultural 6-12 school settings. Strategic literacy instruction and literacy across the content areas are emphasized. Offered FA.
Prerequisite(s): admission to the Professional Teacher Education Program or permission of the chair of the Department of Education.
