NURS 3009 - Health Care of Women Credits: 3 Lecture Hours: 3 Laboratory Hours: 0 Course provides for the overall study of women as members of society, as well as their diseases and/or childbearing functions. Attention to the contemporary woman as a health care consumer. Major concepts to be explored include assessment of women’s health using a holistic approach; psychophysical health concerns of the contemporary woman; lifestyle concerns of the contemporary woman; social, economics, and environmental hazards; and an overview of major reproductive and gynecologic concerns.
