This course introduces basic concepts related to pharmacology and dosage and calculation of oral and parenteral medications.  The nursing process will be utilized as a framework to examine specific drug classifications: vitamins, minerals, immunizations, NSAIDs, and opioids. Offered FA, SP

Prerequisite(s): A grade of “C’ or higher in ENGL 1001 , MATH 1021 , CHEM 1001 , BIOL 1161 , and NURS 1013  or NURS 1019 .
