NURS 2022 - Pharmacology III Credits: 1 Lecture Hours: 1 Laboratory Hours: 0 Development of concepts related to pharmacology and dosage and calculation presented in NURS 1042 . Students will explore the nurse’s role in administration of complex drug classifications. The nursing process will be utilized as a framework to examine the following drug classifications: drugs for pituitary and adrenal Disorders, thyroid Medications, antimicrobials, ADHD medications, fertility drugs, birth control, hormones, anti-anxiety drugs, sedatives, hypnotics, antidepressants, anesthetics. Prerequisite(s): A grade of “C” or higher in NURS 1040 , NURS 1041 , NURS 1042 , BIOL 2051 , and PSYC 2070 . Corequisite(s): NURS 2020 , NURS 2021 , and MATH 2011 ; and CMST 1061 or CMST 2060 .
