The Undergraduate Certificate in Criminal Justice is to designed to meet the needs of entry-level students, including recent high school graduates, who do not wish to earn a degree but instead take courses that would allow them to either begin a career in the criminal justice system or earn the credentials needed for promotion or advancement within the system.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Graduates will demonstrate knowledge of the philosophy, theories, policies, practices, processes, reforms, and inter-dependent operations of the major components of the criminal justice system.
- Graduates will demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to analyze, interpret, and critique the application of judicial, legislative, and administrative civil and criminal law to criminal justice subject matter.
Admission Requirements
Students must meet all requirements for admission to the university.The Undergradaute Certificate in Criminal Justice has no separate or special admission requirements.
Graduation Requirements
- Students must complete each required course with a grade of “C’ or higher
- Student must earn at least six hours of the required courses from LSUA.
