RADT 1001 - Basic Principles of Radiologic Technology Credits: 3 Lecture Hours: 2 Laboratory Hours: 2 An introduction to patient care in radiography focused on patient safety, legal and ethical considerations, patient assessment and communication, and patient management techniques. Drugs and contrast agents relative to radiographic imaging, as well as how to introduce such substances into the body, will also be explored. Laboratory exercises will focus on patient assessment, transfer techniques, sterile techniques, and venipuncture. Offered, FA.
Prerequisite(s): A grade of “C” or higher in RADT 1000 Corequisite(s): RADT 1014 and RADT 1024 . Or permission of instructor.
