NURS 1042 - Pharmacology II Credits: 1 Lecture Hours: 1 Laboratory Hours: 0 This course build on concepts related to pharmacology and dosage and calculation presented in NURS 1032 . Students will explore the nurses’ role in administration of more complex drug classifications. The nursing process will be utilized as a framework to examine the following drug classifications: autonomic nervous system, alzheimer drugs, anticonvulsants, anti-parkinson, vitamins, antidiabetics, drugs for gastrointestinal disorders, antihypertensives, diuretics, antilipidemia, anesthetics and anticoagulants. Prerequisite(s): A grade of “C” or higher in NURS 1032 , BIOL 1162 , and ENGL 1002 ; and in NURS 1019 or NURS 1030 . Corequisite(s): NURS 1040 and NURS 1041
