The goals of the class are to develop practical skills in the field of behavioral husbandry through animal training and environmental enrichment. to understand the concepts and application of these two techniques; to think creatively about animal behavior needs and problems; to set goals, plan steps, implement ideas, document processes, evaluate success and failures and re-evaluate the process and the use of problem solving to better care for zoo animals.
