BIOL 4253 - Principles of Ecology Credits: 4 Lecture Hours: 3 Laboratory Hours: 3 Common Course Code [CECO 4124] Senior standing required. Should be taken during the last two semesters of the student’s degree program. Study of the principles governing the relationships between living organisms and their environment. Includes structure and functionof ecosystems, communities, and populations, as well as discussion of current ecological problems. Laboratory emphasizes measurement, interpretation, and application of ecological data. Offered SP.
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 1201 and BIOL 1202 and STAT 2011; or permission of department chair.
