An introduction to biological principles including scientific method, basic biochemistry, cell structure and function, metabolism, genetics, and evolution. Note: only one of the following three courses can be used to meet a degree’s requirements: BIOL 1001, BIOL 1101 , and BIOL 1201 . Offered FA, SP, SU.
Prerequisite(s): A grade of “C” or higher in ENGL 1001 and in MATH 1018 or MATH 1021 ; or eligibility to take ENGL 1001 and MATH 1021 without their corequisitie supplements as specified in the placement section of the catalog.
